Warriors vs Eagles 3rd and Final Semi Final: All Tied Up
The Eagles stepped up to the crease with an average score of 97 to chase down and with the rain all cleared up from this afternoon, the Stadium’s atmosphere started to intensify!
Warriors came out bowling aggressively and did well to restrict the runs of starters Rossouw (11) and van Wyk(22), efficiently taking down Roussouw and soon after Hendricks between the 4th and the 6th over.
By the time the Eagles had finally reached their 50 by the 13th over, the Warrior Fans were beginning to see how close this match actually was and at the 15th over, with the Eagles needing 30 runs from 32 balls, where greeting every dot ball or run saving fieldwork with an immense roar of approval. Yet none were ready for what was about to come…
A TIE!! The Eagles last over was the most tense I had ever seen. The Eagles needing 8 runs off 6 balls! All I could do was brace myself for that four or a six that would take a bite out of the death second innings. It did not come , with only 2 twos and 3 ones , the second innings was all tied up!
