Thami Tsolekile blog: "We are a team in form."
It is a wonderful feeling to be in the Standard Bank Pro20 final. We have had a pretty tough season off the field but all credit must go to my team for their efforts.
Even though we are into the final we won’t be celebrating too much. I will say that we enjoyed the moment after beating the Titans but we need to stay humble because there is still one very important match still to play.
I must give credit to Jonathan Vandiar and Neil McKenzie for the way they batted against the Titans.
Before the game we identified the new ball as crucial, whether we were batting or bowling.
Batting against the likes of Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel means that you can’t afford to give the opposition a sniff and Jonathan and Neil gave us a wonderful platform.
Richard Cameron probably won us the game with his four wickets. Richard did not bowl great against the Titans in the first semi but the wicket at SuperSport Park was a bit on the slow side so I thought he might be quite useful. He turned out be be a bit better than that!
I must say that I thought we were in a spot of trouble when Blake Snijman and Gulam Bodi were slapping the bowlers to all parts of the ground but importantly the guys never gave up. We knew that one wicket could change the match and luckily we managed to run Blake out and we were back in the game.
Now we are off the face the Warriors. We have just beaten a team full of Proteas and now we need to do it again!
But people have to realise that we are a team in form. We have won five out of our last six matches and we deserve to be in the final.
We will probably be underdogs against the Warriors but anything can happen in Pro20 cricket and I am expecting a very tight match on Friday.
