Dolphins vs Eagles - 10 February - Kingsmead

The Dolphins last night saw their hopes of a Pro20 semi final berth slipping away, in front of a rather dismal crowd of only around 6000 spectators at Kingsmead in a very humid, but windy Durbs.

This all thanks to the Eagles fast bowler, Dillon du Preez, who along with ex Proteas seamer, Johan van der Wath, tore through the Dolphins batting lineup.

The Eagles won the toss, and elected to bat first, setting a pretty relocatable target of 152 runs. Top scorers in the Eagles batting lineup was captain Morne Van Wyk who put up a solid 62. Louw was the pick of the Dolphin bowlers, but the Dolphins struggled to restrict the visitors to a more manageable total.

The Dolphins came into bat, and openers Imraan Khan & Loots Bosman put on a great show to get the innings started with a fantastic 69 off just 50 balls.

The 2 openers were out in successive balls, with Khan making a crucial error and getting run out. From there the Dolphins crumbled, with only Ahmed Amla coming to the party and contributing 43, which just wasn't enough.

At the end of the evening, the tail end went down rather fast, which left the hosts 13 runs short at the end.

The Dolphins are currently bottom of the log with all their home games accounted for, and are looking like missing out on playing in the semi finals this year. The Eagles are 4th on the log, and have a game in hand after playing 2 games already.

I can't wait to see this game! It's a confrontation between giants! I'm not fan of either of this two teams, but i'm very interested in the final score!
