Justin Kemp: "We just did not play good cricket"

What a disappointing end to our Standard Bank Pro20 campaign. We just did not play good cricket at all and the Warriors were the better side on the night.

We only have ourselves to blame. I thought our guys bowled really well and our fielding was pretty good to restrict the Warriors to 121 and to be honest we really should have got those runs.

It has been the story of our Pro20 season really. We just haven’t scored enough runs. Our top four hasn’t fired all season and we have battled to get someone to bat all the way through our innings.

It was the same story against the Warriors. We did not start well and that put pressure on the middle order and we could not chase down the runs and, to be honest, in Pro20 cricket 120 should be a doddle.

Despite losing to the Warriors there are some positives we can take from the Pro20 this year.

I thought that our bowling and fielding has been very good and, if we can sort out our batting difficulties, then next year could be big for us.

The season is not over for us though and we still have the SuperSport Series to look forward to.

Unlike the Pro20 we have played good four day cricket so we just need to remind ourselves about what worked earlier in the year and try and get back to that sort of form.

We may be out of the Pro20 but I will still be watching the final with some interest.

The Titans have a bit of work to do to get into the final after they lost their first match to the Lions.

But if the Titans make it through my money is on them to win the final in a very close finish.

why you lost

You lost because you can't play spin and gibbs is too doff to sum up the situation. Oh and you guys are chokers ...

Cobras

A scenario.

Let the top bowlers bowl donkey drops and get hit all over the park. Then bring on Gibbs & the keeper to bowl when they need 5 off 4 overs.

That is ridiculous I know, BUT WHY DO WE BAT LIKE THAT!!!!

The batsmen waste the balls and expect the bowlers to score at twice the rate the batsmen could not attain.
