Imraan Khan Blog: "I thought we put up a helluva fight"

We did not end our Standard Bank Pro20 campaign with a bang as I had hoped but we took a young and inexperienced team to Potchefstroom and I thought we put up a helluva fight.
We got ourselves into all sorts of trouble on eight for three so to post 159 was a good effort.
All credit must go to David Miller. To score 90 off just 52 balls shows how good he is. He is a wonderful ball-striker and if he keeps working hard the sky is the limit.
Who knows, perhaps national honours may not be too far away.

Imraan Khan Blog: "Bowled and fielded excellently"

It was a very disappointing day at the office for the Nashua Dolphins.

We bowled and fielded excellently to restrict the Nashua Cape Cobras to less than 120 runs.

With the exciting and energetic Kyle Nipper at the helm, well supported by the experienced senior statesman Johann Louw, we held sway with our bowling attack.

But our batting was very disappointing, and we fell away alarmingly after we were in a useful position on 72/3.

I think it was a tough wicket to bat on. It was a bit up and down, and also slow.

Imraan Khan Blog: "Very disappointing"

It was very disappointing for us as a team to lose again on Wednesday night against the Eagles. As well as they played, I think we still had a chance to win the game, but it’s just not going our way this time.

It’s quite frustrating to try and put a finger on what’s wrong, because I know how hard the guys have been working behind the scenes.

My run-out was probably a big turning point, but I still thought we had enough in the tank to get over the line. But, that is the game we play and at the moment it is not falling for us.

Imraan Khan Blog: "What a disappointing loss"

What a disappointing loss to the Warriors. I must give credit where it is due and say that we were completely outplayed but we only have ourselves to blame really.
We did not bowl and field as well as we should have, especially at the start of the Warriors’ innings.
Having said that I thought our death bowling was pretty good and we managed to drag the Warriors’ scoring rate back.
They had looked well set on 118 for one in the 15th over so to have held them to 44 runs off the last five and bit overs was pleasing.

Imraan Khan Blog: "Anti-climax after rain"

The start to our Standard Bank Pro20 campaign turned to something of an anti-climax after rain meant that only 13 overs were bowled in the whole match.

It is never nice when weather intervenes in a game but it is something that is out of our control and we just need to look forward.

We were in a spot of trouble during our match at 44 for three and credit must go to the Titans’ bowlers but Dave Miller showed a brief glimpse of what he is capable of.
