Standard Bank winners at the 2009 SA Cricket Awards Dinner
At last night’s 2009 SA Cricket Awards Dinner, the stars of professional cricket were honoured by Cricket South Africa in association with its top three sponsors, Standard Bank, Castle and MTN.
Standard Bank and CSA recognized the achievements of the Proteas in these four categories:
Standard Bank Pro20 series Cricketer of the Year: Charl Langeveldt
Standard Bank One Day International (ODI) Player of the Year: AB de Villiers
Standard Bank International Pro20 Player of the Year: JP Duminy
Standard Bank SACA MVP (Most Valuable Player) of the Year: Claude Henderson
The overall SA Cricketer of the Year was awarded to: Graeme Smith

My Son and I are very passionate about the game of CRICKET but when confronted with name brand prices (GM etc) of goods @ >R2500.00 for a short handle adult cricket bat and >R1000.00 for some basic pads (who is makeing the money...).A cricket ball now >R80.00 each...and we want to promote the game to all, can any body give me their Gold cr card or maybe I should take out a third bond......
We have a seasoned Woodworm bat in top condition, who wants it at a bargain price (R700.00) so i can try and buy the leightie a BAT for Xmas - at least this might cover the downpayment.
What happens to all the "old bats" the International teams use...? Cant one be swung my side with a signature or two - my Son would be thrilled ....!
